The first version of this work was made to illuminate a section of First Generation casts of the Parthenon Frieze, which surround the Sculpture Court at Edinburgh College of Art. The casts were made in Greece before a botched ‘restoration’ of the Elgin marbles, stripped them of the their finer details and the last traces of their original painted colours. The lights return some colour to the once gaudily painted 'marbles', whilst making the cast of Greeks appear to be discoing on a light-up dance floor
